Typhoon in Taiwan hinders our itinerary

Firstly, our thoughts and warmth go out to the people who have been affected by Typhoon Morakot.

In exactly a week, Emma and I will be heading to Taiwan to begin our four-day itinerary in music and dance. However, we can’t help but think to change our plans because of the aftermath of the typhoon. Our originally plan involved heading South of Taiwan… now, that doesn’t sound like a great idea. With moutain tracks blocked, transportations cancelled and most regions still flooded, we’re wondering if we should have a Plan B, C and even D!

We’ve thrown the question out on Twitter, “Is it safe to visit South of Taiwan?” with responses varying from the laid back, “it’d be fine” to people telling us to be cautious and even cancelling our trip to Taiwan altogether!

Now, we’re definitely coming to Taiwan, just not sure if we should limit our travels to just Taipei and Taichung. Any thought will be appreciated! :)

Laters,

Yi
